Grace Gilmer, Executive Director

Grace Gilmer, MSW

Executive Director

With a lifelong passion for helping others and building strong communities, Grace Gilmer brings warmth, leadership, and extensive professional experience to Gramatan Village.

Originally from Southern California, Grace earned her B.A. in Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine and her Master of Science in Social Work Administration from Columbia University.

For more than a decade, Grace worked with Graham Windham, a respected New York City nonprofit supporting children and families. She later served at The Graham School, where she led clinical, medical, and quality improvement services for a residential treatment center dedicated to children’s care and well-being.

Since moving to Bronxville in 2012, Grace has become a deeply involved member of the local community. She is a longtime member of the Junior League of Bronxville and proudly co-leads the Bronxville School’s 8th Grade Cadette Girl Scout troop.

Grace is dedicated to expanding the mission of Gramatan Village by creating meaningful programs, trusted support services, and enriching opportunities that help older adults remain connected, independent, and thriving in the community they love.

Ellen Rice, MSW

Social Worker & Support Specialist

With more than 25 years of experience supporting older adults and their families, Ellen combines professional expertise with genuine warmth and compassion. A lifelong New Yorker with deep roots in the Bronx and Yonkers, she understands the value of community and the importance of helping seniors feel safe, heard, and supported.

Whether you are navigating a life transition, looking for guidance, or simply seeking someone to talk to, Ellen is here to help with kindness, patience, and understanding.

Her impressive background includes leadership positions at St. Cabrini, Amsterdam Nursing Home, and several adult day health care programs dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults.

Bella Ornaf

Membership Service Coordinator

A lifelong member of the Bronxville community, Bella Ornaf is delighted to support the older adults and families of Gramatan Village with warmth, compassion, and a true neighborly spirit. After growing up in Bronxville and spending years traveling and living abroad, Bella returned home to raise her family and reconnect with the community she loves.

Bella earned her degree in Communications from Fordham University and successfully managed her own small business for more than ten years. Her professional experience, combined with her caring and approachable nature, makes her a wonderful resource for members seeking guidance, connection, and support.

As Membership Service Coordinator, Bella is here to help members feel welcomed, informed, and engaged in all that Gramatan Village has to offer — whether assisting with programs, answering questions, or helping members access valuable services and community resources.

Communications Coordinator

Kwee Huang first joined Gramatan Village as a dedicated volunteer, helping create weekly newsletters and keeping the website fresh, informative, and welcoming for members and families. Her creativity, warmth, and eye for design quickly made her an essential part of the team, and she was welcomed into a staff role as Communications Coordinator.

Kwee moved to Bronxville in 2013 with her husband and son after many years living in New York City. Her son, a proud graduate of Bronxville High School, is now attending college in Texas. As a recent empty nester, Kwee is excited to focus on her passions for communication, creativity, community engagement, and travel.

Kwee earned both her BFA and MFA from the School of Visual Arts and spent many years working in the design field. Her artistic background brings a bright, engaging, and easy-to-read style to Gramatan Village communications — making it easier for members to stay informed and connected.
