At Gramatan Village, our volunteers are the heart of our community.

We work with each volunteer personally to help find opportunities that match their interests, skills, and availability.

Whether you have one hour a month or several hours a week, there are many ways to help.

We welcome volunteers of all ages who want to support their neighbors and strengthen the community.

Ways to Volunteer

Friendly Home Visits

Visit members who may have difficulty getting out of the house.

A friendly conversation and companionship can make a meaningful difference. Visits can be weekly, monthly, or whenever your schedule allows.

Driving Assistance

Drivers are especially needed to help members with:

• Medical appointments

• Grocery shopping

• Errands

• Local transportation

Group Outings

Help accompany members on community outings, including:

• Cultural events

• Shopping trips

• Entertainment activities

• Community programs

Friendly Phone Calls

Enjoy talking with others?

Volunteers can call members simply to check in, say hello, and brighten someone’s day.

Escort Assistance

Accompany members to appointments or activities such as:

• Doctor visits

• Religious services

• Hair appointments

• Other outings outside the home

Running Errands

If you enjoy walking locally, you can help members by running small errands within the community.

Grocery Shopping Support

Help members with grocery shopping by:

• Shopping together

• Carrying bags and packages

• Picking up groceries for them

Help support the Gramatan Village office.

Gramatan Village is seeking Volunteer Ambassadors to attend local events and connect with community members throughout Southern Westchester County, including:

• Bronxville

• Tuckahoe

• Eastchester

• Scarsdale

• Mount Vernon

This role is ideal for people who enjoy meeting others, socializing, and sharing information about Gramatan Village with the community.
